Obituary

Michael E. Wilde, Sr., 63, died Sunday, February 10, 2013, in a local hospital. 

Michael moved from Lake Charles to Sulphur 2 years ago. He was a retired First Sergeant from the US Army after 28 years of service, and from St Martin DePorres Nursing Home. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a past President of the Louisiana National Guard Enlisted Mens Association. He enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 12 years Debbie Wilde; son, Michael Wilde, Jr. and wife Patty of Lancaster, California; daughters, Kari deNux and husband Peter of Ball, Louisiana, Geneva Young and husband Robert of Westlake, and Danielle Wilde of Ball; stepsons, Jeremy Thompson and wife Judie of Lake Charles, and Justin Thompson of San Marcos, Texas; and 14 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Don Wilde, stepson Michael Thompson, and parents, Edward Wilde and Geneva Wilde Wedmore. 

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Robby Bacon will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens in Lake Charles. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday, all in the funeral home.
